(Semantic Web Tech Pvt Ltd, (CIN: U72900KA2019TC127480 ), a private limited company incorporated under Indian Companies Act, 2013, headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India (hereinafter referred to as "Semantic Web Tech", which expression shall, unless repugnant to the context or meaning thereof, be deemed to include its successors and permitted assigns) handle your personal data when you engage with our products, services, websites, and platforms.

Our offerings include cutting-edge analytics tools and platforms designed for end-to-end genetic data analysis, including variant calling, automated variant classification in line with professional guidelines, variant prioritization, clinical reporting, and cohort-level data insights.

  1. Visit or interact with our websites at https://www.semgenome.com, https://www.semanticweb.tech, https://gva.semgenome.com, or any related websites, platforms, or public forms under our control (“Sites”).
  2. Utilize the SemGenome Platform, our cloud-based analytics tools available at gva.semgenome.com, to conduct comprehensive genetic data analysis (“Platform”).

Together, these Sites and the Platform constitute our “Services.” We may also process certain personal data for facilitating access to the platform, on behalf of our customers—including geneticists, physicians, technologists, bioinformaticians, and other healthcare professionals (“Customers”)—as part of the Platform's functionality.

Our Services are intended for business use and not for personal or household purposes. As such, we treat all personal data described in this Privacy Policy as business-related information.

This Privacy policy provides information on the way data is collected, retained, disseminated and disclosed.

Additional data may include genetic sequence files and corresponding patient clinical information provided by Customers or Users of the Platform. Semantic Web Tech processes this data as a “data processor” under Customer instruction for rendering to the customer the agreed services using our platform.
  • User Data: Information about our Customers, their designated contacts, authorized users, including contact, contractual, billing details and usage preferences.
  • Sites, CRM & Prospect Data: Data from visitors to our Sites, event participants, or other prospective customers (“Prospects”), gathered through interactions with our online content, communications, and advertisements.

1. Data Collection and Retention

We collect and process personal data from the following categories:

  • User and Prospect Information: This includes name, workplace, position, contact details, login credentials, billing information, and any other data you provide when using our Services or interacting with others on the platform. Additional data may include affiliations, professional background, general location, activity logs, and preferences.
  • Usage and Technical Data: Connectivity and technical details such as IP addresses, device information (e.g., type, OS, browser version), activity logs, cookies, and pixel data. These are used to enhance user experience and improve Services.

  • Submitted Data: Data provided by Customers for analysis through our Platform. Customers bear responsibility for legal compliance when submitting such data and ensuring appropriate notices and consents are in place. Submitted data is only stored and used from a private space provided for each customer and deleted from the storage whenever the users deletes the same. We do not store backups of Submitted Data on any other location.
  • Automatically Generated Data: Aggregated or technical data created from usage patterns to improve our Services.

These Service Providers include those offering cloud hosting, server co-location, content delivery, data security, billing, fraud prevention, analytics, customer communication, and other specialized services. We do not share any personal data with third parties.

Customers and Other Users: Based on permissions given by you, your personal data may be shared with members of your own organisation through which you are subscribed as a User, including data and communications related to your User Profile. This is to facilitate collaboration and approval-based workflow inside your own organisation.
